Onguard Acid Leak Detection Paint is applied to pipe joints and valves to instantly alert you to gas or solution leaks. Onguard Acid Leak Detection Paint is usually yellow, but it changes to red immediately when exposed to strong acid solutions or vapors with a pH of 3 or lower. The discolored part of the acid leak detection paint can be returned to its original yellow by neutralizing it with water or a weak alkaline solution.
